Mike inw has this, this truck is a Republic from 1925. That right hand steering makes me think this photo was taken down under or somewhere else overseas. By 1925 all trucks in the U.S. had moved the steering wheel to the left. Republics were 1st built in Alma Michigan in 1912, and production continued until 1929. It was in this year that Republic merged with the commercial division of American LaFrance and formed LaFrance-Republic. LaFrance-Republic trucks were built until 1942 but by the mid-'30's they were merely a re-badged Sterling. Thanks to Bill White for the photo. The 2nd pic below is from Dan Souday and is 10 years older than our WAI truck, but it does show off the Republic emblem rather well.
