Here's another very rare old timer. Emblem removed.

Not too many tries here, so I guess it is time to end the agony. Robinson is not the name on the truck, but is close enough. This truck is actually a Gopher, but was built by Thomas F. Robinson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Gopher was a 1 ton model built in 1909. 57 Gopher trucks are known to have been built. Robinson was in partnership with L. Loomis and in 1910 the company became known as Robinson-Loomis Truck Company. By 1912 the name was changed back to Robinson Motor Truck Company, and trucks of 1-1/2 to 2 tons were built. By 1913 a 5 ton model was added. The last Robinson was built in 1920. David Boudrie has this unusul truck 1st. The photo is from the Minneapolis Historical Society.

I sure didn't know that these Robinson trucks were built in Minneapolis.  Interesting to think of making a small number of trucks for over ten years.
