Not too many takers again, but everyone is right ! This truck is a Riker from the late 'teens, possibly destined for military service in WW1. Riker trucks were built by Locomobile, and originally carried the Locomobile name until 1916, when the name was changed to honor its chief designer, Andrew Riker. When William Durant bought Locomobile in 1921 the Riker trucks were discontinued. Warren Richardson had this 1st; Thanks to Mike W for the photo. The color photo is a 1918 model formerly in the Archie Crippen Collection and is from Dennis Wells.

Locomobile had a good reputation, maybe this Mr. Riker had a lot to do with that.

That's an amazingly well preserved truck.  I've probably seen the picture before, just never knew more about it.  Thanks Jeff.
