Another big truck from the 1920's. Emblems removed. And another photo from Dan Souday.

I'm thinking FLEET ARROW if somebody bobbed the front of the fenders. They had those small triangular windows as well.

Not too many of you stuck your neck out on this one, but Don MacKenzie came out of nowhere with the right answer: American LaFrance "Big Chief". American LaFrance is famous for its fire apparatus, but they built trucks too, starting in 1913. This photo is from a 1929 advertisement to announce ALF's merger with Republic trucks to form a new commercial truck division, LaFrance-Republic. LaFrance Republic was soon aquired by Sterling in 1931, and LaFrance-Republic trucks would eventually become re-badged Sterlings. The last LaFrance-Republic truck was built in 1942. Thanks to Dan Souday for this photo and ad from Commercial Car Journal.

I was thinking this was an Alf when I first looked at it so I suspect Don has this.  When I went to look at some pictures I find it quite Maccar like as well.  So I'm going with Maccar.

Warren, I think it looks a lot like a Maccar too. I'm surprised you are the only one who mentioned it.

the triangular window referred to was from the Metropolitan Body Company and their Couplex Cab.  That cab was a common one on Whites, big and small, also used by Pierce Arrow, and a few other truck makers.  There was a cute little LeMoon displayed at the Auburn show with that cab, too.

The Metro triangular window developed in the late 1920s to a slightly sleeker cast iron bracket that also formed the visor base in the early 1930s.  It was not seen past 1932.

A big triangular design was also used a lot in buses.
