Is this the one that sounds so good?

Rotor spins OK.  Doesn't feel like there is any radial play, but feels like there is about 10-20 thousandths end play ---  is this OK?

Has another tag on it from "Turbo Rebuild Co. in Downey, California" marked July 7, 1961.  Guess that is the last time it was worked over!   Guy I got it from had it sitting around his shop for longer than he could remember.

If you are lookin for sound, I have two T-590's that are the real deal . One was built by Ray Ostrander in Santa Fe springs some years back. They both are high mount (top). Just drop by and haul them home, they only weigh a ton! I live in Grove, Okla. Bryan Gardner

I n the mid 80's I was running one on a small cam 350 built to 420. Not enough air for that engine better suited for a 335 or less. If i had one of those old engines i would use it just play with or listen to. In the 60;s most every truck i drove was a 262 or 335 and had 590's on them. On this turbo the defuser plate has been worked over and nozzle ring changed, the other is mostly stock. I carried for back-up because in the 80's nobody had parts cross country.
