Live from Myrtle Beach,where it is raining an inch per hour.Glad we have a high-ground campsite!!This is one of Automobile Shippers Inc.'s Montpelier Dodges,with a MHS trailer. Big Chrysler hauler out of Detroit back in the day.

It's no wonder everyone is right, we have featured this model truck several times in the past. But this was such a cool photo I just had to use it. This majorly cropped photo is a 1938 Montpelier Dodge COE, and what you couldn't see is that is is hauling a load of brand new 1939 Plymouths. That would have been a dead giveaway, as most of the auto haulers were under contract to use a truck built by the same manufacturer as the cars they were hauling. This is another photo from the Life Magazine Collection.

The picture looks like it may have been taken at the old Lynch Road yard in Detroit. That would be behind the Plymouth plant.
