With those hard rubber tires, if this isn't the worst riding bus ever built it must be high on the list ! Emblem removed. Photo from Mike W.

Not did it ride hard, but with about with likely top speed of 15-20 mph, and numerous stops, you would have to live quite a ways from school to not be able to beat it to school on foot or a bicycle.

The best thing about WAI is it doesn't make any difference to anyone if your right or wrong.

Pioneer stage.

I'll say International Harvestor, although the  cowl has too much arch for a standard IH...

Going with Don is always a good bet, and it is today too. This is a 1925 Moreland with a body by Crown Coach. Crown built their 1st school bus body in 1917. Why this bus has hard rubber tires I have no idea, as pneumatic tires were quite common by 1925 and by this time the hard tires were usually only found on heavy duty trucks. I bet many of the school kids at IUHS had sore backs and bottoms by the time they got home from school ! Thanks to Mike W for this terrific photo.
