I wonder if those front wheels are Dayton?  A Dayton disc, almost as infuriating as double top mounted windshield wipers...

Don has it, this is a Republic from about the late 'teens or early '20's. That big boom gets it's motivation from a Bay City winch, a name which I believe is long gone from the scene. Thanks to Bill White and Dan Souday for the photos. The restored Republic belongs to Bill Kirby and is one of my photos.
